Warum sind Sie kreativ?

Texter Hermann Vaske reist rund um den Globus, wird bei prominenten Kreativen vorstellig und stellt immer dieselbe, scheinbar harmlose Frage: «Why are you creative?»

Beispielantworten:

Tony Scott, director: «Because it’s just a brillant way to spend your life. I mean it’s a brilliant way no two days are the same.»

Laurie Anderson: «It makes me laugh...it’s really simple: it just makes me laugh, it makes me feel like I can change things...like I chan change things.»

Jay Chiat, advertising creative: «Because that’s really the only joy left in this business. To look at piece of work and say I’m really proud I did that or my agency did that. So it simply boils down to when you go to a dinner party and someone asks you what you’re doing, you say you’re in advertising. There’s an opportunity to be embarassed or proud. The only way you could be proud is if you work in an agendy that does good work. So if you boil it down to the really simplistic rewards in this business, that’s all there is.»

Gottfried John, actor: «Warum spielen Kinder?»
